FRESH DRAWINGS Meetings 2006-2008 Lea Rasovszky, Alexandru Radvan, David Sandor

This is a working format. Its key concern is the communication as a core resource of the artistic evolution. At the beginning of 2006, as a result of a contradictory discussion with an art critique on the criteria which give value to contemporary art works, I created a very simple working format, in which the members of a group with different interests in the field of fine arts began to meet regularly, to present their works and to communicate openly what they think about them. The project fully benefits of the enthusiasm and seriousness of Lea Rasovszky (http://www.whatwouldleardo.blogspot.com/) and Alex Radvan (http://www.radvandrawing.blogspot.com/) , who have accepted to work together. Each of us criticises the others and is subject to discussion in his or her turn. What we search for is to get as diverse viewpoints and angles of approach as possible. Communication doesn’t rely on converging ideas, but on clashing ones. I have selected the drawing as a common language, because of its omnipresence and continuity all along the art history, and the theme has come almost spontaneously: the human being. This is not an artistic group in its usual sense of the word. The group members don’t have a common project, save for the constant working commitment and authenticity in communication. It is an approach of the art as an adventure, as thrilling game, which opens up new horizons and totally unexplored areas. Each meeting has the effect of a cold shower, participants feel refreshed and full of energy and creativity. We are always open to discussions, both with other artists, and with people with different interests. The exercice will cover a relatively long period of time (2 years), so that eventually we notice how each of us has evolved, as a natural result of this working method. Which criteria, values, conclusions and concrete results will we get to at the end of the project? The project archive is on this blog where we are looking forward for your coments.
On top of that, within our communication exercice, we will keep you informed with our evolutions, by e-mailing you constantly fresh drawings.
